how soon after chemotherapy can I dye my hair? I take most three months of hair growth, still short, anybody says it suits me but I just cannot get my caput effectually it every bit information technology is so unlike to earlier?

i have found this information for you on the cancer research united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland website. The same i as this forum.
i lost my pilus during chemo and am currently rocking the new born baby with hair await it came back the same colour as before, dark brownish but with the texture of a Brillo pad. Every bit it is winter I now have a collection of hats and am looking forward to the summer. Apparently my short hair suits me and so I take decided to keep it short from at present on, I observe it quite liberating. You have been through a lot and the fact your hair is growing back is good thing, you are even so the same person with or without long pilus.

Hi,
I finished chemo in October and just dyed mine with a semi permanent as I was well-nigh all grey despite existence 36 lol. It took well and had no sections so I'd say yous're pretty condom to go ahead.

Oh that's practiced to know, my hair has only started coming dorsum, 6 weeks after chemo. It's pure white, not fifty-fifty grey and similar fine babe hair, going to take a while yet, my wig will exist on for a while all the same.

When i asked McMillan nurses, they said about vi mths,, only had mine washed, and its the best feelign ever,, from the horrid grayness,, looked like my dead mother,,, deplorable mum,, but information technology put xx yrs on me,, and at 62 i dont need more lol...
Sooooooo wonderful at present,,, ok need to get colour right, as not sure how this new pilus will react , and went for a blond, as mone before was lgiht, from color i had used and many years in the sun,,,

Dont think anyone , like hubby, or family , mates know how it felt,, and when i family member, commented on my FACEBOOK flick,, next fourth dimension have some hi lights.,,, i got angry,,, this was a milestone for me,, and the transformation in my looks, and how i felt was enourmous,,, why had this person dampened information technology for me!!!
Since ive just had my eyebrows and lashes tinted, never had this sort of affair always b4,, simply eyebrows back but light and grey in them,, lashes when i dont employ mascara,, as never do make up in the mean solar day,, simply if i leave,, e'er been similar that... but as im sort of wishy washy at the mo,, this TINT,, hads too made sooo much divergence,,,

PS Information technology LOOKS MUCH LIGHTER THAN IT IS, IN FOTO,, Similar SILVER ,, BUT ITS NOT, THE WHITE STREAK I Have,, volition never colour,, it never has,, looks similar a tint now,, lol

Hi, how lovely, information technology'due south merely great having hair once again, I'm still using the colour shampoos atm. I'1000 having a lovely holiday and keeping my hair in a hat. It'southward and then calorie-free but thickening upwardly a bit, can't await till I get my first cut and colour when I become home. Well washed for taking plunge and getting some other piece of You lot back together once again. No one really knows what it's similar till you take been through it. Best wishes xx

Hello candice my name is maria .I had chemo in 2017 and have been on mychophenolate and 5mg of steroids since.my hair is very grey at the elevation and ive previously lost a lot but came back on and off. Can yous tell me if you used a dye that covers the greyness which i didnt accept before.? Thanks.

Hi, I know how important hair is to you lot ladies, merely not so much for most men I approximate.
Before chemo my hair was kind of mousy coloured and very thick, and I never really liked it. Withal, I'm almost at the end of my chemo - 5 of 6 sessions done. After my first session my hair started to autumn out, merely only on the sides and went a blueish silver grey and is as soft as a baby. Seems a bit strange for it to waft when I open a door though!!
I absolutely love the colour and, I hope it stays that manner but grows on the sides again! :)
One thing chemo has done for me though is save me well-nigh £100 on haircuts and razors LOL

HI,, eole,said same to me, just didnt like it,,, i went about three to 4 mths growth, got hairdresser to wait, she did a test first,,, all was ok, and and so had a color washed,, Talk to them starting time,, allow them know its new groth, and go somebody who knows hair,,

My understanding is that is it is still weak, all-time to avoid harsh things like permanent and bleach until most 6 months, only you lot can use more natural e.g. henna, after a few weeks. Endeavour a spot exam first, and too ask your barber - or find 1 with experience who tin can advise based on the forcefulness of your pilus.
I'yard nearing the end of my chemo and I needed to the greys when it started, longing to become it sorted! Good luck.ten

howdy
i accept dyed my hair with none amonia hair dye becareful of the colour you choose i chose nighttime brown and it turned out lighter more cerise lite brown every bit i am pure white at present after chemo december 2019. texture of my hair has ever been ok as i was recommended to utilise Torso Shop pre shampoo kokosnoot oil. Takecare hope all goes well.

Hello my hair beginning grew through calorie-free blonde simply the first time I washed it,it all fell out with upset me very much.But 3months on its 2 inches long and quite thick but dark dark-brown which doesn't arrange me and so I've ordered my usual olia no 9.three blonde and can't wait to be blonde once again.

Hi, glad your hair coming back in, I was so pleased to get mine back, it's stayed pure white though, but use Olia viii, I find that one very practiced. I never mutter nearly my hair now, even with no hairdressers atm. I only dearest having my hair over again. Have care x

it's also been effectually 6 months since my hair has grown back later my chest cancer handling last year ....your hair looks exactly the same colour as mine was very white / grey ... ....I am really happy with my pilus existence very short , so volition keep it that mode now I think ?
ive just put a permanent colour on my hair ,ash blonde , but the results aren't as I wanted ,information technology's quite dark ...I used hints of nature product , no chemicals or parabins etc! Henna based ....but .I was very worried that I had dyed it besides early after treatment.....
your hair looks bright at present , more the colour i was hoping for . Can I ask what product you went for please ?
